How to request a Champion Ambassador

The Ambassador Programme aims to promote Investors in People through personal experience and recommendation. Ambassadors strive to inspire other businesses and organisations to commit by communicating the many benefits of the Investors in People Standard.

The individuals are from a wide variety of sectors and all Ambassadors have knowledge of the Standard and are willing to endorse Investors in People in a variety of activities such as speaking at an event, providing comment to the press or attending a networking opportunity.

We also offer a service to our network of organisations and partners to enable them to book Ambassadors for speaking engagements. This is through our web-based database. On this site, our partners are able to view a list of the Ambassadors on the programme and their biographies. Once a suitable Ambassador has been established, users are able to request them for an event.

The Ambassador Programme is managed by a dedicated Ambassador Co-ordinator, Katherine Hollingworth, who is available to offer advice and make suggestions on the most suitable Ambassadors for a variety of events.

Benefits

By speaking at events and networking you will be able to promote yourself and your organisation’s achievements as a high profile spokesperson. Through close liaison with Katherine Ambassadors can be ensured that they will be matched to opportunities that are suited to their areas of expertise, knowledge and experience.

You can make decisions from how many events you would like to be involved in to how far you would travel. (We ask that all Ambassadors expenses from travel to accommodation for an event are covered by the organiser.) In addition, Investors in People will support you with free annual training sessions and invitations to key Investors in People events that take place through out the year to being consulted on the review of the Investors in People Standard.

Ambassadors also have access to a secure area on the Ambassador website which provides a regularly updated online networking club exclusively for Investors in People Ambassadors. Regular communication is provided by the monthly newsletter, The Ambassador, and weekly Friday Fact emails give you up-to-date information on Investors in People.

If you would like to request a speaker to attend an event or to visit your organisation to speak about their experiences then you can log on to the Ambassador Website. Most of the Investors in People Ambassadors provide their service free of charge and ask only for expenses to be covered. However, we do have a small number of celebrity Ambassadors and there is a fee attached for using them.
